UIAM Kampus Kuantan: Cita dan Cinta Kami

Image
Macam baru semalam saya mendakapnya dengan cukup erat, berkongsi kasih sayang bersama-sama. Macam baru semalam saya beramah mesra dengannya, berkongsi segala idea bernas dan pengalaman luas, tak kurang juga cerita suka dan duka. Macam baru semalam kami bersatu suara dan irama, memecah dan memeriahkan suasana.

Rupa-rupanya, hari-hari itu sudahpun berlalu pergi. Yang tinggal hanyalah kenangan dan pengajaran.

Mendengar Luahan Rasa (Raqib Majid, 2011), walaupun pengisiannya sungguh serupa dengan Kupu-kupu Cinta (Renanda Lastri, 2012; Awang Abdul Muizz Awang Marusin, 2014), saya rindu. Mungkin kerana Luahan Rasa yang saya dengari lebih sayu; lebih-lebih lagi apabila dibawakan oleh penyair mahupun penyanyi yang amat sinonim dengan nada dan jiwa yang sepatutnya.

Tuhan, dengarkan aku ingin meluahkan rasa hati
Tuhan, izinkan aku ingin menyanjung hati si dia
Ku harap bisa membahagiakan dia selamanya dengan restuMu.
(Raqib Majid, Luahan Rasa, 2011)
Saya menjiwai nada sayu tersebut ketika mendengar geme…

Luahan Rasa

Tuhan, dengarkanlah aku
ingin meluahkan rasa hati ini

Tuhan, izinkan aku
ingin menyanjung hati si dia

With Hearts and Hands

With glowing hearts, we see the night sky of the beautiful and sustainable Kuantan.

We bring our joyful hearts and grateful hands going through a journey of 236 kilometres from Sungai Pusu, Gombak to Indera Mahkota, Kuantan with the noble aim of friendship and brotherhood.

We extend our utmost gratitude and praise to Allah SWT for consenting our gathering here. We are nothing without Him. We, even, cannot do anything without His Permission.

At the same time, we send our best wishes to our Messenger, Muhammad SAW, the one who dedicate his greatest love to Islam and the Muslim Ummah.

We thank you, peoples of IIUM Kuantan Campus, for receiving us here.

It’s an honour for us – delegates of Mahallah as-Siddiq and Mahallah Ruqayyah, IIUM Gombak Campus – to be with you.

Commemorating Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RA

“O man, I had been appointed among you though I am not the best among you. Therefore, if you see me in truth, please help me; and if you see in vanity, please reprimand me. Obey me as long as I obey Allah, and leave me once I leave Allah.” That’s the word of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq once after being appointed as the first Rashidun Caliph.

Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RA is always be remembered by Muslims throughout the ages.

We remember him not only because of being the closest companion of Rasulullah SAW, and not only because of being the successor of Rasulullah SAW as the first Rashidun Caliph. It is because his towering personality. It is also because of his great economic, political and social contributions to Islam and the Muslim Ummah.

Therefore, his name was immortalised by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) upon two residential colleges: Mahallah as-Siddiq in Gombak Campus and Mahallah Abu Bakr in Petaling Jaya Campus.
