IIUM Code of Ethics

International Islamic University Malaysia has 10 Code of Ethics. Let I tell you one by one.

One: DO GOOD.
Rasulullah SAW said, "Every good deed is charity; one who guides to goodness is like the doer of goodness." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

Two: VICEGERENCY OF ALLAH.
Allah SWT said, "...and when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy on earth." (Surah al-Baqarah, verse 30)

Three: SINCERITY.
Allah SWT said, "...and they ordered naught else that to worship Allah, keeping religion pure for Him." (Surah al-Bayyinah, verse 5)

Four: SMILE.
From Abu Hurairah RA, Rasulullah SAW said, "Your smile for your brother is charity." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

Five: HONESTY.
From Abu Hurairah RA, Rasulullah SAW said, "Allah doesn't look at your appearance or your possessions but He looks at your heart and your deeds." (Narrated by Muslim)

Six: SAY THANK YOU.
From Abu Hurairah RA, Rasulullah SAW said, "He who doesn't thank people doesn't thank Allah." (Narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud and Tarmizi)

Seven: SAY SALAM.
Rasulullah SAW said, "Spread Salam (greetings) amongst yourselves." (Narrated by Muslim)

Eight: TRUSTWORTHINESS.
Allah SWT said, "Verily, God does command you to render back your trusts to whom they are due." (Surah an-Nisa, verse 58)

Nine: AMANAH.
Rasulullah SAW said, "One who has no Amanah has no Iman, and one who does not fulfill his promise has no religion." (Narrated by Ahmad)

Ten: RESPONSIBILITY
From Ibnu Umar RA, Rasulullah SAW said, "Every one of you is a guardian and every one will be asked about his subject." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
